I don't think there's really much wrong with this.

I've uploaded a mod. in which I've cropped the bottom to place the horizon (which I've straightened) on a third and I've also cropped the LHS to retain the aspect ratio.
I also made a quick tweak using the shadows/highlights tool which has brought out a tiny bit more detail but it's barely noticeable!
I've sharpened it too.

Hope it's OK.

This is nice, but you must watch that horizon - you will never get away with that one. The technical side is first class, but the feeling is that the boat is travelling out of the picture.
