Yesterday on a bitterly cold day at Fontburn Reservoir near Rothbury. This to me is the stuff of nightmares. The drainage hole is surrounded by a wire fence which made it particularly difficult to position my camera. I think these make great architectural subjects.

Nice use of shutter control, great image. I would love to decend one of these, but I have been potholer.

Good use of the bridge as a static object.

Spot on.

Regards.

Gavin

The drain makes for excellent FG interest while the wall leads you in form the left and the bridge then leads you on into the image and the far side of the reservoir. Lots of depth and the long exposure adds a lovely minimalist feel.

Amazingly good. And scary!

I'd like (I think - I don't know what pictorial horrors may lurk just outside the frame) to see a little more space on the right - or maybe a viewpoint slightly to the left, to bring the pit more onto the bottom right third.
