...............E and I are in Lithuania - she is visiting her ageing Mum -
We have been extraordinarily lucky in our trips over the last 15 months in terms of flowers - Of course if you don't like flowers it would have been the most amazing yawn for yourself.
Feb last year we had California in bloom from top to bottom, from desert to forest as a result of record rains/flooding!!
September in California and Utah again - not quite sure why, but the entire region was littered with colour!
France a few weeks back Spring had sprung into the fruit tree blossoms
And here again, in Lithuania, the yellow of the carpet of Dandelions spattered with the penetrating red of enourmous tulips is truly a joy.
The first thing E did when I arrived today (she had travelled earlier) was to take me to a fallow plot of land (hitherto unmentioned) which had been bequeathed to her by her dad quite a few years back - very nice too I thought! -
She got chatting to, and reawakening aquaintences with, forgotten neighbours and then asked me if I would like to take some shots of these two.
They are both into their eighties and have I think a pacivity (if there is such a word - and I'm pretty sure there aint)in there demeanor, which suggested to me that this setting would work.
Hope you like
