And now for something completely different. I took this in september last year, using my telescope and an adaptor for the camera. You set the camera to manual focus, set it at infinity, and then use the telescope focussing mechanism. It is quite hit and miss as you are trying to focus on an LCD screen. 1/125 at F8. I hope you like it.

That is one fine shot......what scope were you coupled to and did you use an eyepiece or straight through?

Thank to everyone for your comments and votes. Dewey, I was lucky with my telescope. It is second (or third) hand, home built around a 210mm dia. mirror. It has a dobsonian mount, so I cannot track objects. I use a scopetronix adaptor coupled with their maxview 40 eyepiece.

Thanks Nigel,

I've been debating on ordering one for my 8" SCT, I don't have tracking capabilities on it either.
