Hi Raymond, and welcome to Ephotozine.

This is a very nice extreme close up of an empty shell. You didnt mention the magnification used with the MPE 65, but its a sharp, shallow dof shot.

The MPE 65 shots work very well with focus stacking, i.e taking a number of shots focused on different parts of the same static subject, and theres some software available that combines theses effectively.

There is one member her that uploads a lot of shots using this lens, - though I dont know if the ring flash was used. You can find his work here: http://www.ephotozine.com/user/alliec-44084

Its worth looking through.

Enjoy the site, and I look forward to more of your close up work.

regards

Willie
