My first waxwings in over 40 years. I managed to sneak away from Christmas shopping for an hour this afternoon and nip to Saltholme RSPB reserve where there was a nice obliging group of these beautiful birds.They were feeding on some hawthorns about ten feet from a group of very eager photographers( including me ) .
