I like this image. It is well lit and well focussed. There is plenty of detail and I particularly like the one different nut in the top right hand quarter of the image.

Thanks Andy, just entered into our club annual, shot the original 2 years ago but was never happy with the focal point, so I placed a Pistachio nut on the third to give a focal resting point and I am quite pleased with the result.

I find it a little flat though.
I've uploaded a simple mod. in which I've increased the brightness and contrast slightly and sharpened it a little.
Just a thought and nothing to do with the quality of the image; were those nuts really that salty or did you add some for effect?

Welcome to epz Andy I am sure you will enjoy your time here. The idea is great with the addition of the salt and pistachio lifting the image from the ordinary. For me the pistachio is a bit close to the edge of the frame so I have offered a mod with a square crop. I also felt that the shot was a touch under exposed so I have reset the white point with a levels adjustment. Finally, as already mentioned above, you will need to sharpen the image after resizing.
I hope this helps in some way.
