Hi everyone!!!

Thanks very much for judging yesterday's competition, and well done to all of those who gained prizes Smile The quality of entries was amazing - and both the Judges, I and I am sure everybody else are looking forward to the next one!

Here is another nuthatch from the feeding station in the garden!

Thank you for looking,
Jonah

Nicely composed shot and well worth a vote for that, but it needs some work to brighten it and sharpen the detail, hence my mod.

Hi Jonah

A fine capture without doubt but one point I would make is your focus point which appears to be the end of the tail opposed to the eye where it should be in this type of capture.

Select just the central focus point or a bank of focus points to the right or the left (dependant on your camera of course but I believe the d300s has this option) of the subject to cover the eye which should be achievable with a feeding station in your garden.

All the Best
Paul

Well caught on a lovely perch. I prefer the lighter version 2.

Good capture here Jonah! Photo arguably needs a little lift, via levels and curves adjustments. The problem is that the background then becomes bright green: so you may want to consider desaturating that selectively.

I've uploaded a quick mod for you just to give an idea (more work would give a better result). See what you think. Smile
