Taken at the 'Stade' Hastings yesterday during the last of the late afternoon light. It was a lovely afternoon and a pleasure to spend some time here, has been a while!

Lovely warm light giving beautiful colours to the boat and shingle, and a fine sky to top it off.

Low glowing light casting fabulous shadows and showing up the textures in the shingle.
I was actually surprised to read that this was taken on the Stade, which seemed much more cluttered (debris, vehicles, boats...) when we visited it. This has a sense of emptiness.

A wonderful composition and capture, Sarah, lovely light, and what a super sky...just like here in Wakefield - this is just a bit prettier, though! Think I might just have to part with my UA on this beauty...
Lovely rich colour and great detail in the pebbles, the boat might have been better more off centre for the composition?
I'm a fan of breaking the rules myself of course.

Jeff,many thanks for bringing the camera issue to my attention, it was taken with my D300, I don't even own a D70 - must have been too much Birthday celebrating I have edited the exif details.
