Good idea you are playing with 
V2 is very good. V1 shows depth of field issues more. I'm sure you will be working on this more and look forward to the fruits of your labour and creativity.
A good idea. V2 is more successful, I think: the shadows stand out more, and there is a vague air of mystery which V1 can not easily create.
