When I wanted butterflies I could not find them and then these Large Whites descended on my nasturtiums with a vengeanceSad This is one I caught in the act of egg laying.

A big thank you to Ronnie for his User Award on my hebe and to everyone who commented.

I still cannot sit at the computer for any length of time so I am keeping comments to a minimum (hands, elbows and shoulder joints just worn out!). On the plus side the garden is beginning to take shape, although a few more stumps to remove and weeding to do! All in good time!

Best wishes
Carole

I like the limited colour palette in this image Carol.
We haven't seen many butterflies all summer here in Scotland.
You've captured this one with great detail.

"How on earth did you manage to spot this fella Carole?" Quite clearly no need to go to Specsavers. A wonderful image, full of great detail, and a wash with a whole green spectrum.

Great timing and just love those delicious green tones, almost as much I suspect as this little critter loved the leaves for egg laying!

Awesome clarity Carole, hope your back gets better soon so you can work on the garden so I have a nice place to sit if I ever visit.

Regards

Trev.

Exceptional detail and clarity in this close up capture Carole, the large and small whites have certainly returned in great numbers this autumn and are still on the wing even now
