It feels to me that the contrast is too high, the highlights need to be toned down, and it looks a bit oversharpened.

That being said, it is a lovely composition.

I agree with Handlerstudio. Great subject matter though. Taking the shot from further on the left and getting more depth behind the cabin may give it more perspective as well.

Nice composition, but I feel too that there is something strange with this photo - overprocessing maybe.
It's better to work in the original, but I have uploaded a modification to show how I feel it. I've made a little adjustment in the tones, burning the white areas and change the color of the sky - too green for my taste.
All the best,
George

HI Chris.

Welcome to the Critique Gallery, - looks like your first image up for critique.

Ive looked through your portfolio to try to get a feel for how you shoot, the scenes you like, etc. I like that your exif, or shot data is always available, BUT there is one importance piece of data missing in every single shot. That is the MODE you used. Mode is P, A, S, M on the dial. I dont know why it set as not defined, but for this shot, if you look at the original data, you should be able to tell what the mode is, or perhaps remember what you normally use. If you can reply with a comment I would appreciate it.

Next, is this the shot as taken, with no modification, or have you done some sort of post processing? What image editing software do you use?

I will check back to see if you have provided more information, - more is better for us to provide assistance. Other member of the Critique Team will benefit with this information too.

regards

Willie

I was messing around with Adobe Cs on this one and made the contrast too high along with the sharpness. I am actually just starting to use my camera on more than A. This one I used landscape. I am trying the different aspects of my camera and am trying to better myself. I really appreciate the feedback.
