Thought I'd upload the portrait version of an image of the Old Man of Storr that I previously uploaded as a square crop. The square version is here, if you're interested.

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my recent uploads. They really are much appreciated.

Works very well in portrait format too, you retain the drama in the sky and the snowy textured ground but add emphasis to the sanctuary. Great image.

The sky is dramatic - and I love the limited palette. The portrait version works really well.

Looks equally as good in any format, Sue Wink It's a very unusual rock formation, and your capture of it and the surrounding rugged landscape is very impressive. Love that dramatic sky too! It must be a splendid view all around from that high vantage point Smile
And just to say thanks ever so much for your UA on my latest upload. I thought it a little different to just a straight shot of St Peters, but never expected it to do anything...I'm really chuffed! Grin

Very dramatic and atmospheric and really nice to see it in winter conditions.
