Went for a walk yesterday along a path by where I live, and the path was verry wet after all the rain we've had.
I really like this old wooden gate ,I uploaded one of it in snow recently.

v1 for me,Netta, the colour shows the lovely tones and lichen of the old gate so much better. Maybe would have cloned out the distracting 'waymark' signs.

Nice. Although the gate is shut yet my eye moves beyond it.

Colour does pick out all the tones that are lost in the mono version Netta, good capture!

There is something quite special about gates, we as photographers will always have a couple tucked away...

That certainly is a great wooden gate, Netta. So full of character. I'm with Dave on how the colour works better 'cos it captures all the fascinating hues.

Wonderful old gate with all it's well worn tones and leading into the unknown.
Think the mono is quite good too but I'd clone out the sign post.
