This image was made four years ago while travelling in the State of Jammu & Kashmir in north India.To me the colour of the sky and formation of clouds looked like burst of a volcano.

Yes. You are right Sapru ji. It looks like a Volcano. I have uploaded a modification after lightning the upper mountain a bit by using the doge tool. Deep
Hello,
I would suggest a couple of ideas for when you next come across similar scenes. Try shooting vertical (portrait format) rather than horizontal to make more of the sky. If you use a tripod (and you should…) then it would be good to invest in some neutral graduated filters to even out the exposure between the bright sky and very dark foreground. The latter has lost all detail, which is a pity. I can well understand what attracted you and why you pressed the shutter, but unfortunately to the viewer that wasn’t there with you, the splendour has not come across in the picture. Adam
