A very imperfect shot, over-exposed and not very sharp. But I like it and it’s probably going to be the new header for my portfolio. And for all its imperfections it really is rather fun viewed Large.
I stood in front of this little line-up, lifted the camera and just prayed to the gods of photography that nobody would look up and see me... They didn’t, so I hung around a bit and have a couple more shots to come at a later date.
We have a busy weekend coming up, with a visit by our French twin town’s band and a houseful of guests. Should be back to normal (whatever that is) on Monday...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Compositionally this is first class. Well balanced and absolutely perfect in letter-box format. Love the activity or lack of within and the blondes have nice pins.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was:- My word Moira has a good eye not only for composition but balance. Then I read the other comments, and I think to myself, my goodness Challice, but you are getting better at seeing things that you never saw before.
This is why I appreciate EPZ and photographers like yourself!

aaaahhhh candids in the park, this is so good, the mix of people and the balancing act by the two at either end is excellent, really well seen and for standing your ground, keeping your nerve and getting the shot

Lovely shot, one blonde each for the two single fellas, did they pounce when the girls moved. All forms of everyday life, thinking, chatting, sleeping and contemplating.
Super letter-box format.

Nice insight to a seat in the park Moira. Quite a wide range of people all doing their own thing and oblivious to what the others are doing. Should be a good header for you.

Love this Moira! Good symmetry between the benches, I do a lot of holding up and praying! It seems to work - sometimes - although not always sharp. Yours looks great and will make a good header.
Have a good weekend!

Like this idea. I have a set of seven images I shot at Knaresborough of folk sat on benches alongside a bowling green but haven't liked the post-stiched results. Looking at yours I see now that I should have used something longer than 10mm. Thanks for helping me see that. Regards Dave

A very ecclectic selection, nicely observed Moira.

Thia is the benchmark for all candids Moira, the composition is excellent. There's so much variety to see in this one, I thought a discerning gentleman like Mr Lifesnapper would appreciate it!

Wonderful shot for the numerous tales it tells. I wonder what destiny brought this lot together on the benches on that particular day...

Oooh this is nice. Love the symmetry. I can almost hear a director telling them what poses to adopt to make your photo balance. Well spotted - and it's a real skill (that I would love to acquire) how you manage to get these shots unnoticed.

Wish I would be as daring as you, taking shots of perfect strangers.
Prob would need to by a 500mm lens, or a Minox to hide away Smile

I guess being a woman makes it easier. A male in his 40ties would maybe not get away with it so easily...

Nice wide shot. I like how you included the other 2 benches on the edge and made it more of a continuous scene instead of just concentration on the bench in the middle. Cool.

So close and yet so far away - everybody wrapped up in their own world. John
