A very imperfect shot, over-exposed and not very sharp. But I like it and it’s probably going to be the new header for my portfolio. And for all its imperfections it really is rather fun viewed Large.
I stood in front of this little line-up, lifted the camera and just prayed to the gods of photography that nobody would look up and see me... They didn’t, so I hung around a bit and have a couple more shots to come at a later date.
We have a busy weekend coming up, with a visit by our French twin town’s band and a houseful of guests. Should be back to normal (whatever that is) on Monday...
Thanks for looking,
Moira

pairs framed by solitude. good scene, nicely balanced in the frame. Bert
Like this one, the composition, the format and the balance, Well done
Brian
The first thing I thought when I saw this was:- My word Moira has a good eye not only for composition but balance. Then I read the other comments, and I think to myself, my goodness Challice, but you are getting better at seeing things that you never saw before.
This is why I appreciate EPZ and photographers like yourself!
Love the symmetry Moira, lovely park scene, I like the sleepy couple and then the women in contrast having a chin-wag! then the two bookends, well done on your clandestine approach
fine image, Adrian
Nice insight to a seat in the park Moira. Quite a wide range of people all doing their own thing and oblivious to what the others are doing. Should be a good header for you.
Dougie
I really like it. You have a French band coming, did I read somewhere that you live in Prudhoe?
Think this a great candid of people just chilling out in their own way, pleased you were not seen taken this
Glynnis
Lots to look at and think about in this Moira, amazing how people can sit so close and yet be so far apart, a super image,
Chris.
you all over this shot Moira. Spot on with the crop, great detail and perfectly presented

Nice observation in finding this one Moira, will make a great header, well done.
Dougie.
A great comp' Moira, I like this ALOT!
John
P.S. Have a great weekend you two.
People snapping is great fun if you don't get caught. Sylvia
Like this idea. I have a set of seven images I shot at Knaresborough of folk sat on benches alongside a bowling green but haven't liked the post-stiched results. Looking at yours I see now that I should have used something longer than 10mm. Thanks for helping me see that. Regards Dave
Thia is the benchmark for all candids Moira, the composition is excellent. There's so much variety to see in this one, I thought a discerning gentleman like Mr Lifesnapper would appreciate it!
a nice way to spend a sunny summer day, interesting contrast to the way every ones dressed, Chuck
looked at this photo yesterday, then tried to come back, but epz was so slow that i gave up...
first thought was : "très Mrs woolybill",
Deux purs miroirs qui font toutes choses plus belles,
Mes yeux, mes larges yeux, aux clartés éternelles
could be you ?
Wonderful shot for the numerous tales it tells. I wonder what destiny brought this lot together on the benches on that particular day...
Have a tuneful weekend!
Lucy
Oooh this is nice. Love the symmetry. I can almost hear a director telling them what poses to adopt to make your photo balance. Well spotted - and it's a real skill (that I would love to acquire) how you manage to get these shots unnoticed.
Jean
Really like this one, the different variety of people are what make it interesting...all in their own little worlds!
-Leighton.
Very sincere thanks to everyone who's clicked and commented here, and my apologies for doing a fair amount of clicking and running - I now have a houseful of guests, we're between two concerts, they're supposed to be having a picnic and a walk and it's ****** raining!!!
Have a great weekend folks,
Moira
I really don't see the imperfections if there are any Moira..I have spent ages just looking at all the people on the benches and their different poses. Well spotted and I still think you are brave to stand there and take their photos. A brilliant study of life in the slow lane
Di
Yes I am as above I always think 'How does she get away with it...All the time too...' this is a great shot, hope they dont all ask for an appearance fee...and none seeem to notice you again and again either. Chen.
Nice wide shot. I like how you included the other 2 benches on the edge and made it more of a continuous scene instead of just concentration on the bench in the middle. Cool.
So close and yet so far away - everybody wrapped up in their own world. John
One of the best candids I have ever seen on this site!
Excellent.
