Hi John,
You've capture a nice image of a Gull flying over the water, the only thing I would say is that I feel the crop is a little to tight (my opinion only). As the Gull is flying he should have somewhere to fly to so a little more room on the right (the way it's facing) would possibly balance the image.

I've done this in a mod, see what you think. John, it's your image and it's what you are happy with.

Martin

As Martin says, this is a pretty tight crop.
It's also quite soft and there's some noise and a little CA in there as well, so I'm guessing that it's actually a small piece of a considerably larger original and that your lens was at or close to its limit.
Martin's mod. is good but this does need a little work.
Sorry if that all sounds a bit negative.

Bren.

Decent image and I like the tight crop. Could do to be a little crisper. Are you sure this is a Common Tern - looks like a Black Headed Gull in winter plumage.
