Cracking image. Lovely warm colours contrast with the snow perfectly. Personal choice, but I would be inclined to crop slightly from bottom left, as the key features and the bridge, engine and signal. The area to the left doesn't add very much. You've started to take out the phone cables on the left?

This is very good indeed. Would not be out of place on a Victorian postcard (if they existed then). That driver made a whole lot of difference to the the image.

Thanks Nick I realize that this was not the finished copy when you mentioned the phone lines indeed they have gone in the print.
as for the crop I like this due to the snow
Joe Cornish has almost the same shot but alas he has no engine driver apparently it's one of his best selling Xmas cards.
I also think one day it might get a cat or a hare in the right just below the signal

This image is in the same style as Cornelius Krieghoff. Master and most famous of Canadian painters of the 19th century. His winter scenes are most popular and still in demand today. Canada issued a postage stamp..[a beauty!] with a Krieghoff horse and cutter on it. As this is true of Krieghoff scenes, this is also true of your, 'One Last Look'.

This is a fine image and a commercial success if you wish. Show a 16" X 22" print and the Krieghoff link, and any gallery will hang it for sale.
