This here is Carreg Bica, a well known rock sitting between Llangrannog and Cilborth beaches in West Wales. Legend has it that the rock was a tooth from the giant "Bica" who threw it into the ocean as a result of a really bad tooth ache!

The title of this photo comes from the fact that I've been going on holiday down here for nigh on 30 years. I know the area pretty well, and know exactly the shot I want of this 'ere rock. Trouble is, since I've been taking this photography lark seriously, every time I'm down there either the tides are wrong, there's no sunset or it's raining!!

Yet again I've missed it this year, so you have a rather moody 3 minute night time exposure instead! A little noisy and not what I originally wanted, but comments greatly appreciated anyway.

A bit dark on my monitor but well composed and dramatic.

Mine too, but there is a tiny bit of colour in the sky! Better luck next year.

to me it isn't quite sharp, ive been doing night photography a bit myself and have found that if you over expose by two stops you get the best results.

a good trick is to take a 30Sec reading in Tv mode, remember the apateur. then to get a sharper image for a 60 second exposure times the aperture by two. for a 4 minute time by 8. and so on.

It is dark, but that helps to make it a good moody shot. Well taken, and fingers crossed for next year!

Thanks all - I know it's dark, but that was kinda the intention - but then I did figure it wouldn't get too much attention on here as a result LOL!
