When it rains in the Cascade mountains, you are literally inside the clouds. Light is very soft so shadows are open. Distant objects come and go as the mists flow through the canyon.
Rain is a bit hard to deal with, my one foray into a pricey camera cover was a bust so back to plastic bags. But rain is what makes the forest so majestic, so I try to enjoy it.
