I had one chance to get this shot so I hope you like it, I say one chance because the ice started to melt instantly and had melted by the time I had taken the second shot, due to the water being at about room temperature :o)

Thanks very much indeed for looking,

Superb shot! Excellent detail, sharpness and colours. Very professional! ![]()
Thankyou all very much for your comments :o)
Ian, who or what is Gordons please?
For Rob or anyone else who is interested, this was set-up in a 16 x 8 inch glass tank, I used clear classes to hold the piece of orange in place, the same for the ice, and below that was an airline attached to a pump for the bubbles.
The lighting was a large softbox behind the tank, I did have a slave flash below the tank but ended up turning it off as it didn't really improve it.

Stunning shot there, I absolutely knew it'd be one of yours! I'd be quite interested in giving something like this a try myself this weekend. I have flat sided glass vase and an aerator that I could use but don't have studio lights or soft boxes. Do you think it's possible to get similar shots using just desk lamps? I'm telling myself that I'm going for the "ghetto studio" style. LOL!
Thanks Vesen, P Monk, Barbara and Lauren :o)
Lauren, I think you might be stuggling with standard desk lamps, but if they are bright enough and you can get the shutter speed up then anything is possible, your probably better of doing it in bright sunlight, if the weather picks up a bit :o)
HTH
Thanks for that, I'll see how it turns out. I think I need to get myself a lightbox but recently I saw how expensive they can be!
Just love this, great impact shot. Fantastic comp and detail.
Am I allowed to say "COOL"!

Very prefessional looking photo. And yes, this would be great for a soft drink ad!
