Gosh…I didn’t think the rust in yesterday’s upload was significant enough otherwise I would’ve mentioned Mick and the RAS Smile And I didn’t know Mick was an ex railway engineer until Ed said so. So it was a sortuva double whammy…cool Wink

Thanks for the response, people.

Now here’s something from the archives – August 2009 – taken at HortPark. ‘Twas initially the dragonfly which attracted me but then my interest switched to the shadow. Especially the orangey bit in the shadow.

If the ground hadn’t all those stones, the shadow would’ve been awesome, I reckon.

Never mind…the dragonfly is pretty Smile

Forget Murray in the tennis or these things called the Olympic Games Andrew,
a good rusty upload is a lot more significant to me !!
And leave these poor stones alone too.
They make the shot for me !!
Mick.

LOL...tell you what...the oranges in this shot are the colour of rust, Mick, so that's sorta something, innit.

The diagonal is excellent, as is the shadow. Fantastic, in fact.
When I saw the thumbnail I was sure you had used a slab of Gruyère cheese as a base for the rusty damsel fly - a master-stroke if ever there was oneSmile

Gruyere? I'll head for the fridge in a minute!
A fantstic background and full marks for including the rust with the spectacular damselfly.
I was very impressed with yesterday's shot btw - only I had already given my award Sad
