The new opera house in Oslo opened in 2008.
It is a fantastic design, and the entire exterior is covered with Italian marble and white granite, and the lowest point of the roof reaches down into the waters of the Oslofjord (see v7)
Free outdoor concerts are held on the roof during the summer months.
My description of the door in my Silly Sunday upload, was slightly wrong. The structure is in fact the tower above the main stage, housing the gubbings to pull the scenery up and down as required.
It is a beautiful building.
View one shows the reflection of the old harbour offices, reflected in the opera house glass.

v4 & v7 are 'my top picks, today,' Malc, of this excellent series of well composed, colored, & detailed images of the lovely Oslo Opera House. (PS: The latest version of the 'superfine & slick' internet browser, 'OPERA 11.00,'...has been released for download, or 'automatic update,' of course if You use Opera).

A wonderful set, Malc. The minimalist V5 is simply stunning, worth a solo performance.
Regards
Bill
Looks an interesting building, Malc
Reminds me of the 'Nemo' science centre in Amsterdam, that's not any level bits on it's exterior! Great set ![]()

V5 for me Malc - love it - worth an upload in its own right in my opinion
