As anyone who's ever been to Ovenden Moor will tell you, it has a lot of odd rocks near the quarry end - so I thought I'd capture a few of them on top of the characteristic peaty terrain.

The light just catching the tops of the grass was a nice addition, and the compulsary wind turbines finish it off really.

The shot belies how cold it was - really was as cold as it gets!

Well, not actic of course, but bad for West Yorkshire in March

Perfect light under those clouds bud and a nice bit or turbine movement. Not so keen on the foreground though ... but that's just me. Works for me as a dramatic letterbox crop to just below the left grasses.

I'll never forget you Dave Smile

Was a few weeks ago when I got the filters - just left work early and sprinted up there to get frozen and almost die!

I'll be up there again when the clocks go back, you still free only after 7:30?

Lakes today - whooppee!

Very nice.
Like the way you've gone with the colours on this one and the contrast between the sky and the foreground.

Has that windswept feeling to this. I know how cold it can be Adrian, ask any ridgewalker. Beautiful tones and additional cloudscape makes this a exceptional image to view. Ron.

Yes, there is a lot to see in this one, and it all looks good. Yet it is not too busy. A very unusual landscape that is quite appealing.

Very nice shot, but don't you wonder what can motivate people (apart from money) to erect those monstrosities in such a beautiful landscape?
