Loch Shiel and the Glennfinan Monument where it is said that in 1745 by raising of Bonnie Prince Charlie's standard and the rallying of the clans and started the Jacobite Rebellion. The monument was erected in 1815 to commemorate the rebellion. There endeth the history lesson!!
A digital Infrared shot and the light on the day was perfect. I stood on the hillside to take this shot and to get the wonderful vista that was before me. To my back and out of shot is the Glennfinan Viaduct the very same viaduct which appeared in all of the Harry Potter movies.
