Looks very much overexposed. Was this an effect you applied (diffuse glow) or is the original overexposed? The effect is leaving a bright edge around the owl that spoils the image for me.

Looking at your settings, the original may have been ok, or a little underexposed.

Thank you i was playing with an effect to create the glow not one i'll use again but thought I'd give it a try. I have looked at the original and reduced exposure and may add it on to have two contrasts of same picture
