Went to a demo of trained predatory birds and saw this owl. It really looked like it meant business. I have seem falcons before and seen them retrieve and return. They didn't release this one because it either wasn't ready or they were concerned it might go after smaller birds in the amphitheater that might be in the rafters. The trainer said it wouldn't be fazed by a flash (and it wasn't). However, they normally hunt in extremely low light with no problem.
