These shots are a bit gruesome. Nature red in tooth and claw. It serves to illustrate that these caged feeders are sometimes a help to predators rather than a hindrance. The prey cannot make a quick escape and the sparrowhawk has more time to kill (literally).

I have often thought this type of feeder dangerous for the smaller birds but thats nature for you and if not from a feeder they would find their food from another source anyway - well timed shot and V1 brilliant as a capture
