OK well my last few shots have done rather well. I can normally stop any hint of success by uploading something in B&W...so lets see how this goes LOL.

These are the Copper mines in Coppermine valley ~ Coniston. The shapes reminded me of a japanese temple.

Excellent, great use of wide angle, great tones, like the lines leading into the pagoda. Wonder if it would be better with the pagoda off to one side a bit?

very effective in b+w.what does it for me is the wood in the foreground.tells me what the structure in the background is made of, giving texture right through the image

Hey well done!!! The colour tones suit this scene brilliantly and give it a real atmosphere. Saw loads of those shaped gateways in Japan leading up to shrines and temples so I agree totally with your title. Congrats again! Ali Smile
