Hi all, just back from a very wet Wales, so got some catching up to do ............. did manage to pick up a few more 'props' though. Our best day was spent at a Nature Reserve just north of Porthcawl, found some lovely wild orchids there and had a lovely wander.

This Poppy image is from a few weeks back and I've tried to do a 'painterly' background, which hopefully tones quite well with this lovely wooden vase that I've had for some time and normally keep dried flowers or grasses in.

Well hope you like it, as ever look forward to your comments and critique as these are always helpful ............ good to be back and now need to look see what you've all been up to.

I'd like a bit more space at the top, Jenni, but that's probably just nit-picking. Lovely textures especially the vase, and a harmonious background.

Do see your point, Dave, and the faint border probably makes it seem even tighter at the top so a very valid comment, thanks for taking the time.

A very nice piece of work I think that the touch of greenery at the bottom adds alot to the overall effect my only nit pick would be that a little more of the stem of the poppy could balance the height of the vase and as the other comments a little more space at the top of the frame - kindest regards Elizabeth xx
