Some pampas grass growing very near to my other recent upload of the seed head, on the banks of the River Wear. Again, I have used the river as background.

Thanks to everyone for your condolences on my last upload.

Lovely tones indeed. It has the perfect mixture of sharpness and softness demanded by the subject.
I might be tempted to crop to square(ish), removing the head of grass on the right which does not quite share the elegance of the other two.

Now I'm stuck wondering where along the Wear this could be!

Very lovely is this Pampas Grass, a neighbour used to have some growing in their garden but it seems to have disappeared! Nice capture, Carol, love the way its lit.

It is in a small village called Cox Green, Bill. It's also where I took the shots of the geese.

This is so graceful, particularly that blade of grass curving across the upper half of the frame adds a lot. I'm going to disagree with Bill, I wouldn't crop, this needs its space.
