This is Pan - one of the Barn Owls at the ICBP in Newent.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet on the vote & comment front this week - have been otherwise occupied with various time consuming things! Maybe I will win the balancing act next week!

Thanks for the clicks & comments on the Blue Tit - appreciated as always. Have a good weekend wherever you may be,

Louise

Well captured Loiuse, and the detail in the eye spot on, but to me he is otherwise a little soft, maybe too close a crop, not sure? but just my opinionWink

Sorry Louise, but there is a lot of noise apparent in the background & the subject is a tad soft too.

When I looked at the EXIF data, I realised why.

The ISO could have been cranked well down, at the expense of a far to high shutter speed. 1/5000, when 1/500 would have sufficed. As it had a good crop also?
All IMHO of course. Perhaps others will say differentWink

Don't know how I missed this one Louise, its smashing, beautifully lit and pin-sharp.
