This is where my grandmother was born. Also a couple of old pieces of jewelry that were hers. I wonder if Pangbourne is near where any of you live? It may even be called something else now. .
Good work Sandy, and I believe it is still called Pangbourne, although it is a good distance from where I live !!
wonderful work here sandy momoies of a bygone era simply beautiful
Still there Sandy. Looks a bit different now, but recogniseable
Beautiful and nostalgic, Sandy. Love images like this.

have a great weekend
sorry just miss spelt your name Sandy.
Beautiful work Sandy !!!!
Pangbourne is on the Thames, still!
I remember my father once driving us 60-odd miles there to go fishing, in 1960 maybe. All I caught was sunburn. One of my brothers found a £1 note in the street. Otherwise I have no recollection of the place; we now live at the other end of the country.
Thanks for reviving a memory, Sandy, and presenting it so beautifully.
Hi Sandy, yes still Pangbourne and in the county of Berkshire. Not near us though.
Lovely image Sandy, Pangbourne is not to far from where my daughter lives know, maybe if time allows the next time im visiting Ill try and get over there to take a few pics
Nice shot Sandy
Little has changed in Pangbourne Sandy, still idyllic and peaceful location. Great fishing to. Ron.
A lovely composed image Sandy - I have never been to Pangbourne - just passed the sign to it a couple of times - I am in Hampshire - a little bit a way. I am sure your grandma would love what you have done here.
Lovely composition. Great work! IB
Lovely image Sandy
No, Pangbourne's still Pangbourne, Sandy. It's about a couple of hundred miles from where I live, and though I've never been there, it sounds a delightful place. And this is a truly delightful presentation, like it a lot
What a lovely presentation Sandy ...Bill
Very nostalgic and wonderfully worked and presented, Patti
Lovely image Sandy - very artistic !

That would be wonderful Hugh, I have so many pics of this place on postcards, around the late 1800's. Would be so interesting to compare.
As someone so interested in my own family tree, this really hits the mark for nostaligia! What a lovely composition. Sounds as though we may get to see Pangbourne as it is now some day soon, thanks to Huge, which will be interesting.
Know the name but not the place. A lovely nostalgic image beautifully composed and presented.
What a lovely tribute. Super Sandy.
My, how times have changed, lovely Sandy,
It is still there gal
Excellent, artful, & lovely image rendition, Sandy. Have a great Weekend. Stay well.
It looks so lovely, Sandy. I don't know Pangbourne, but I hope it hasn't changed too much from this image - so often it's disappointing to go back to a place even only 20 or 30 years later, to find it so very changed, or even unrecognisable. Sometimes it's best to just have the memories .
Your grandmother would be so pleased that you treasure these mementos.
I was born in Berkshire, & now live in the next county Hampshire,
I know Pangbourne very well & go there often.
I saw this picture today & went straight there.
see my pics
Pangbourne is still a very beautiful place Sandy. Went throught there a couple of weeks ago.
Great presentation Sandy
