Sounds like our gales have travelled to your part of the world now, Colleen, though it is still pretty windy here, A good capture, works well in b&w. Carol

A good mono conversion but for me it would be worth having a go at straightening the verticals

Thanks to Nathan and Rich for their advise, I would like someone to explain to me how to correct it as my lamp pole and arch way are at 90 deg... I was standing directly below this building and due to the wide angle lens it has obviously made the vertical lines converge........I am keen to learn........GrinGrin

Apparently, some cameras have built in editing to help with this dilemma and post processing software often has applications for it................. You may have this facility in your new camera, if so, try putting the image back onto a memory card insert it into the camera and see what happens.

Regardless of converging lines, this is a really great image, mono does it proud, the detail and the shadows are very impressive.

Beautiful mono, excellent detail...
I always have problems with the perspective... I was told to be corrected or not correct all the timeGrin... If you do want to correct it, you may try distortion on PS,if it is the software that you use, drag the top left towards left, and bottom part towards right, and then free transform it as what you saw . ..but I'm not sure you will get a better result.
