One from out trip to Paris in September.........we have had Gale force winds in Cape town for the last 18 hours... the sea looks treacherous
Wonderful detail in this beautiful image Colleen and some good processing....John
Gorgeous Colleen - superb detail brought out by the mono processing and fantastic comosition - I really like it. Keep safe.
Great shot Colleen, wonder what your treacherous sea looks like, any good breakers?
I can appreciate those winds Colleen - been quite strong here as well I really like this image - excellently suited for mono !!
Sounds like our gales have travelled to your part of the world now, Colleen, though it is still pretty windy here, A good capture, works well in b&w. Carol
Great mono image Colleen
Super image, wonderful textures and tones, really works well as a mono
A recent comment I received read.... 'got black, got white, smooth tones' says it all really Super B/W......
A beautiful piece of mono work here, Colleen, wonderful tones and textures in the stonework
A good mono conversion but for me it would be worth having a go at straightening the verticals

However still a great architectural study so very well suited to monochrome Colleen
Thanks to Nathan and Rich for their advise, I would like someone to explain to me how to correct it as my lamp pole and arch way are at 90 deg... I was standing directly below this building and due to the wide angle lens it has obviously made the vertical lines converge........I am keen to learn........
Apparently, some cameras have built in editing to help with this dilemma and post processing software often has applications for it................. You may have this facility in your new camera, if so, try putting the image back onto a memory card insert it into the camera and see what happens.
Regardless of converging lines, this is a really great image, mono does it proud, the detail and the shadows are very impressive.
Suits in mono
Beautiful mono, excellent detail...
I always have problems with the perspective... I was told to be corrected or not correct all the time... If you do want to correct it, you may try distortion on PS,if it is the software that you use, drag the top left towards left, and bottom part towards right, and then free transform it as what you saw . ..but I'm not sure you will get a better result.
I love all the different textures it works well in mono,
Nice image!! I like it a lot!!
Beautiful monochrome image !
Great image! Love the textures.
A great mono image, but as above would try to straighten the verticles
Excellent mono image, texture and detail are great.
