Love flower photography but trying to push my photography a bit beyond straight images of flowers. Loved the shapes , tones and detail of this pasque flower in the rain so wanted to remove the distraction of it"s colour

Stunning detail! You have certainly succeded, I would never have thought to present this in Mono but it works so well. Would still be interested in seeing the original Grin

This works really well in mono Dorothy.

I have a couple of suggestions, and nothing thats drastic, as the original shot is very good.

I would try toning down the bright highlights, and converting to a duo tone; and since its rather wide, why not crop space from the top, where the shot is losing focus, and a little on the bottom, and make it into a panoramic style.

Ive loaded a mod with this done, and a frame added to show what it will be like when you put it on a wall, where it would make a really nice print.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

Willie
