See this is why I should give up photography. I can never take photographs like this beautiful.
Love the little patch of blue in the angry sky.........![]()

Some stunning light and tones here Nathan but feel the composed image could be improved by a crop so that the skyline is not going through the centre of the frame, a crop from the bottom or top would work, only my opinion.

Trev.

Hugh
you certainly were there at the right time
What a capture.... never to be repeated!
I suppose that having the horizon in the centre of the image is bending 'the rules' at bit but it works here well as the upper sky is so dark and tends to remove that concern.
The picture is made by that bright puffy cloud in the centre.
A wonderful shot just as it is IMHO, Nathan.

(PS......have sent you a PM.......R)
A ray of light in an ever changing sky, well captured Nathan,
John
Overall this a beautiful landscape with great colours tones and detail and the lighting is perfect Might I suggest that you try cropping a little of the very dark sky from the top converting the image more towards a 'letterbox image' and giving the whole image just a 5pixel white border (using the Stroke method in photoshop/elements) to make the whole image stand out on your black portfolio background
Wonderful contrast between the golden wheat and brooding sky, Nathan. The importance and focus of attention is the patch of blue sky and white cloud. However, I think a crop would benefit the balance of the image, putting the horizon on the upper or lower third both work for me.
Dave
Nathan, this a grand shot with that lit-up puffy cloud. Wonderful ![]()
As for constructive crit, here's my two cents: Add a thin medium grey border around the image to make dark edges separate themselves from the EPZ black background. Pretty much what Elizabeth has said just before in terms of border. I normally resize the image then add a 1-pixel border. If you upload at full size, then Elizabeth's 5-pixel border sounds right.

Fantastic landscape captured, Nathan. Love the stormy black clouds and at the same time good light on the crop. An unique combination. Deep
Looking even moodier that previous! A superb capture, Nathan ![]()

The next level, you are joking your photography has gone up many levels, I just love the contrast between the field and the sky which you controlled beautifully.
