Another image from the beach at Uig, Isle of Lewis. I did a version with more contrast and tones, but think I prefer the subtlety of the original. Thanks for looking and for your time. Comments and/or criticisms are welcome.
A big thank you to John (lifesnapper), Julia (NaturesHaven), Keith (Niknut) and Ann (EAS) for their UAs for Astrantia.
Ann

Stunning! The sort of image you see on a wall at a "posh" hotel! Love it!

Wonderful image, beautifully simple I love it, just the sort of image that should be printed large and hung on a wall Smile

When glossy images with fully-saturated colours are all around us it is a delight to see such a restrained, respectful landscape.
Subtle is the word.

It a great location and the weather can give lots of different tones to the water and sand.
Like the soft tones in this one

The first time I laid eyes on the sea around the northern and western Scottish islands, I could not believe the blue of the water. Totally Caribbean. This brings it all back. God, if only we had the weather! (Actually, they've had it rather good lately, while the rest of us have been awash.)

Regards.

Great shot !!.....love the simplicity of the composition,& 'fine-art' feel to the image !!

Mmmmm...bet a toned (Blue ?) version might look rather good ?......but that's just my warped ideas popping up again !!.Grin

I'm back there standing on the beach, feeling the breeze on my face and the soft mist of moisture. The subtle line of sea green is spectacular in it's understated beauty, a perfect rendition of a place i love and would go back to in a minute.
