Like them both Kate, for different reasons-- Love the pitcher/vase---

Fish-eye lens is a super wide angle lens that bends images into a circle if you are very wealthy, or just bends if you don't have a full frame camera

I have added a v2 showing a different, wider view made with the fish-eye lens--- and Walter has very kindly left a superb message on the image that should help you!

The colour range in the composition is lovely in both but my choice is V1. It has stronger colours and therefore more impact. Well done. WesternRed.

Kate, Really lovely images and it is nice to see you experimenting. V1 for me but there is a lot about v2 that I like. With v1 had you thought of shooting against an infinity background or possibly straightening the line between the base and the background. Plus as an alternative you have the start of a great reflection radiating from the base of the vase. Moving back and recomposing could give you a version 3. Great work regards Russell Smile

A lovely set of photos you have here Kate. I like the composition and colours. Difficult to choose between them both are good but I think that V1 might just have it for me.

I like v2, it is pleasantly quirky. The horizontal line in v1 isn't straight, and for me that is a distraction. I also find the lighting and color a little harsh. Setting up a still life is not an easy task.
