In fact this is Devil's Dyke on the South Downs at Poynings, near to Brighton.

I was out walking this afternoon and with the almost level horizon thought it would be good idea to try out the Graduated Neutral Density filter, which I have not used for about 3 years.

So this shot is more about having a go with the Graduated ND filter than the image itself.

Of course this meant switching the camera into manual metering mode and using my Minolta Spot meter to take exposure readings to get an idea of which Graduated ND to use.
In fact it needed 0.9 which is equivalent to 3 stops.
