A Bovril shot if you will ... some won't like the soft water, some will. I'll leave it up to you
Padley Gorge shot on Sunday afternoon after a poor start lightwise - 230 secs @ f8, ISO 100.
Cheers for your time, catch up with you in a bit.
Love it! -Jude.
I like the blue you managed to pull out.
for those who dislike soft water - well they haven't got a clue!
Your image is just superb!
I thought that was marmite?
I like Marmite and I like this too Paul, nice one.
You do get some 'funky' colours with 'that' filter Cole
Thanks to Frank, that's very nice to here.
On toast then Mari?
I like it too great colours in the water
looks Mint to me mate
I like the soft water.
Works for me.
Quite fascinating Paul....must have a bash with a tenner....
Like bovril and marmite!
....and I like that soft water too!
Stunning Padley! it never lets you down
Thanks all for your valued time and thoughts,
It's a Marmite shot, Paul, and I love Marmite!
Some intersting colour you got there Paul. Like this, the extra long exposure has really made a difference here.
Thanks guys. The IR light absorbed by the filter throws up some anomalies Martin, sometimes you can get away with it though
Different but works if you like that milkly effect - but with the conditions on Saturday this works well.
Works for me Paul. My 10 stop arrived the the other day after waiting about 10 weeks! Must get out at the weekend and give it a go
Enjoy it Den, hours of fun - literally - exposures run into minutes
I like it.
Like it to.
Absolutely love it!. A 4 minute exposure, how did you manage that without blowing everything out? Did you blend a couple of exposures? Did you have any filters on? Paul
I'm a fan of the soft water look and don't get tired of it, I like my water soft and milky, dreamy, smooth, swishing, swaying, flowing..oops sorry got carried away there.
Paul, 10 stop ND filter and also a 1 stop ND grad. No blending at all needed, just took a couple of exposures to get the best result, but it's a single shot. A big thanks for your award too!!!
Catch you later,
I like the water
And its not blown so that makes it more special.
Yeah gets my vote Mr P
Warm wishes, Iain.
The water looks absolutelty fantastic.
Thanks for the info Paul. Paul
I really like the effect on the water of the 10 stop filter. Did you calculate the exposure or just estimate?
I 'calculimated' Derek
milky Way Moses..............
I love the water...beautiful image.
This is cracking shot Paul!!! I love that softnes and blue colour in the water. Great job.
Love it - award material
Thanks very much lady and gents.
Your UA is award enough Mark, cheers mate
Not normally a soft water fan, but this really is something special because of the contrast between the peaty brown and almost Caribbean blue. I like the way the stream is framed by that well-lit overhanging branch.
Thank you Ian
I love this shot......stunning, I need to upgrade.....
Cheers Tom, not sure why you need to upgrade though, your kit is plenty good enough from what I can see
Slightly unearthly colour, but it works with the softness which, lets face it, is also a bit unearthly. Borders on the sureal, but works, I think.
Surreal is the effect I was aiming for, but would've been happier with some more breeze blowing those branches truth be known ... cheers Neil!!!
