Many thanks for your comments on the wee fly Smile and to Lynne for informing me about its menu...

Here is another garden critter, I thought it looked batter closed than open. Tomorrow I'll be back to work and will go and find more rust is the neighbour's garden.
PS I've changed the background to green so that you all know what is outside the tight crop Smile (cropped it so that you can see more detail Smile

I can go off folk you know!!!.......Fancy telling us all you have these in the garden, some of us have to travel miles just for chance to see these beggars.......The crops a little tight Annette, but other than this it's a superb catch. I'm a bit peeved and envious that you have them in the garden though, yer lucky beggar Tongue

Well done......Ade

Well, if Ade says it's a superb catch, then it is so for sure: absolutely brilliant detail and colours, Annette.

A lovely shot Annette. I think perhaps you could've left just a little more room on the right so the wing is not quite so cramped. But can't fault the image itself. Beautiful.

A little tight in the frame, Annette, but I cannot fault the quality and the new background colour.

Agree with the comments about being a bit tight in the frame but lovely shot, nonetheless, Annette.

A cracking close up of this beautiful butterfly, a real rarity in these parts as i've never seen one. They are in Hailey wood near Cirencester but sadly time and weather did not permit me the chance to see them this yearSad I agree with the Big O and Durb regarding the crop, it would look so much better with more room in the frame
