Another from the fox that hangs around the formby area. saw him come towards me and gambled he would look round the tree before coming any closer.
If you think his eyes look weird it is because they are infected, which is very common for wild foxes.
What an absolutely superb image, absolutely superb !
Spot on DOF.
I was going to say great capture
then noticed how sad his eyes looked
Sadder that it is an infection
Wonderful image well taken
one of my favs from your recent uploads, Edgar...
So cute! Well captured!
Such a beautiful, and so well detailed capture.
A real shame about the eyes, but a superb shot nonetheless.
Great shot, I saw a fox the other day, but he was gone by the time I got my lense cap off!!!
A very good capture. It`s upsetting when you know you can`t do anything to help cure the eye infection. Hope it clears up on its own.
I have studied various wild animals over the years (mainly african) both from books and actually in the field and it is quite common to see animals with all types of ailments. Most people only see animals in a zoo where any illness is quickly treated or the animal is taken from public view for 'fear of upsetting the public' so we seem shocked when we do see an animal unwell. Most animals are very hardy and do recover from some quite severe ailments..
Beautiful work Edgar,Thanks for the info on the eye infection.Hope that fox gets better.
Yes I hope the fox recovers too...this is a brilliant image.
Stunning work. Amazing.
Too close to take shots!?
Nice to know Edgar.
Thanks for all the comments on this and last few uploads...
Off tomorrow for a weeks photography in Scotland... Hope to have some nice shots to share on my return.
Whilst out shooting in my youth I had the pleasure of being within spitting distance of one these beautiful creatures. When asked why did I not shoot it I replied what for it could not be eaten and as did not have a trophy room I did not see the need. I know they are B------
when it comes to chickens and things, but consider what we humans do not for food but for oil.
