An image which was captured many moons ago with a Bridge Camera before I finally took the leap to DSLR's. It depicts the undercarriage of the pier at Herne Bay on an extremely dark, misty and moody morning. Very little has been done to the image as I liked the result straight away.

A very big thank you from me and Kizmet for all your wonderful comments, and votes following yesterdays upload.

I had several bad seizures later on yesterday and during the evening so I am somewhat sedate, sorry if I never got round to looking at and admiring all of your great work.

I hope that you all have a great day ahead, for me it shall be a day indoors having a creative photograph day.

Regards Nathan

Stunning capture with that wonderful light and structure of this old pier Nathan. This shot floods my mind with beautiful boyhood memories of night fishing with my friend Russel, we were allowed by our parents to take the train down to Herne Bay to fish all night and come home late the next day, did you know this was one of the longest piers around and it had lovely shelters on it if the weather was bad or if you got cold. This was my boys own adventure and i thank you for this image.

Yes! This is wonderful Nathan. And I rather like 'bridge' cameras, yes there is a compromise in quality, but the convenience balances this out, I feel. I still love and use (a lot) my old Fuji S9600 bridge.
