A lone adelie penguin calls. The Antarctic midnight sun lights up the icebergs behind.
Thanks for all your comments. The amount of interest in this one took me by surprise! The colours were amazing that night with the low sun, this particular shot was taken at 6am ..... I'd been awake all night taking photos of icebergs and penguins as the light shifted and changed in intensity. This particular penguin was very active and literally ran around calling and waving it's flippers - great fun!

I clicked ages ago but never commented.
I really like the warm light on its left flank, it seems to mirror that of the iceberg as well.
Really like this pic!

Absolutely Stunning! The lighting is superb. Many congratulations.
Regards,
Paul.
The warm evening sun gives the scene an almost cozy feel - first time I can recall an Antarctic photo evoking this kind of mood!
The wrap-around effect of the bergs gives a friendly, intimate feel to the photo, a perfect backdrop for the friendly-looking performer on centre-stage.
Very beautiful shot. The only negative for me is that the lovely light on the iceberg fights for attention with the penquin. Your eye keeps going from one to the other, not sure of which should be the center of attention. Other than that, I so admire your determination to stay all night to capture the light at different times.
