Boletus edulis,an edible variety when young,the older ones dry well for future use.
It grows in woodland with Oak,Beech,Birch & Pine.
Taken in good light in my local woods.

F11 manual mode
0.6 sec with tripod
ISO 200
W/B cloudy
Spot metering from the stem.
Raw file converted in C1
Curves adjusted & border added in CS3

Sorry if you are soooo fed up with these,I just find them fascinating,looking for them is fun & dealing with the ever changing light is a challenge.........I'll get mi coat,or should I call it an anorak ?? Wink
