A mono verson of yesterdays image, I did this using the channels and compared it to a simply desaturated version, I prefered this one, the problem was that I could not convert it to a Jpeg, it was PS or a few other file types that meant nothing to me, in the mode menu it is multi chanel and 8 bits, can anyone tell me how to convert it to Jpeg please???

To get this on screen here and now I have taken a screen shot and and cropped out the image, I have lost a little detail which I actually don't mind, but I would like to know how to convert the original

Thank you for your time and all your good advice in the past

Susan

Nice work

OK, when you opened the original image in JPG did you convert it to tiff to work on?
File>save as>choose tiff.
When it's edited and as you want it File>save. Then resize and File>save as>jpg.
hope that helps. if there's anything you don't understand just say.
best, P.

You know, though I really liked the coloured verrsion yesterday, I think you get a clearer notion of the fineness of the petals and their details in this version!

Thanks Anne.... it depends on my mood which one I prefer, I think I have got the saving as a Jpeg sorted thanks to Patricia
