I took this snapshot by mounting the camera at prime focus of my 8" Meade reflector telescope. This is the Full Moon at perigee, i.e. its closest point to Earth. On this day the Moon appeared larger than usual, and was the brightest for the whole year.
Due to the size on the camera sensor, I had to take two partial shots of the Moon and stitched them together manually in Photoshop.
The telescope operated at f/10 with a focal length of 2,000mm. The shutter speed was 1/400s at ISO 400.
Thanks for looking
Marc
