He must have thought he was good enough to etch his name in the rock. I'd prefer it to be left untouched. Trig point at Higher Shelf Stones near Bleaklow. Artificially processed in Lightroom for a gritty atmospheric feel.
Lovely gritty tones with touches of gold. I rather like the carved name and date. It would make one want to return one day to see if was still visible. A beautiful image.......Sandy
A most interesting composition. I like the lettering, too.
Great tone and composition, beautiful dramatic picture!
Very gritty, very atmospheric, empathic processing.
Wonderfully observed and photographed Pete...
I thought I detected a touch of BlueRoom here for a moment. Nicely atmospheric. I wonder if Peter Brown was an interesting sort of bloke.
Beautiful light in your image, a really dramatic capture
That must have taken a good while to carve, so determined he was if nothing else...
Like the processing, Pete, atmosphere in spades, just as the subject deserves to make it dramatic.
I only like this type of processing if it's done really well Pete, and I DO like this.
I really like the gritty effect here and the light and tones. Really conveys an atmosphere
Just proves dark and stormy is as good as sunrise or sunset with the right subject.
Lovely image in a very fine p/f..............
Lovely balance of light and dark, and sympathetically processed.
