Finally I've got a pewter plate - yippeeee....... and at a price I was prepared to pay as it's got a teeny tiny split in the rim.

I still want a bit of old oak to serve as a tabletop - one day I'll find it.

Oh and I've a parcel coming next week - containing a pig skull GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Oh you lucky blighter - I'd like a skull with a decent set of horns. I missed out on a lovely one on a certain auction site - 45 was more than I wanted to spend Smile

maybe if you stuck the knife in at 45 to the cheese it would lift the comp. All a very restful platter atm

Thanks folks Smile

I'm still looking for an old cheese knife so maybe when I finally find one it will be a bit more prominent - however I'll give your suggestion a go Dave next time I do a still life.

Oh the prop collection continues to grow Kate Smile I'm off to Gloucester again on Saturday and will have to do all the charity/junk/antique shops whilst I'm there. I've a fairly long list of stuff I'm still looking for but am patient and will wait until I find what I want at the right price!

Thanks again everyone Smile Hopefully I'll find some time to play on Sunday but have absolutely no idea what I'll be doing. I rather fancy a major blitz of the room and getting back into some silly self portraits - who knows........
