Honest (even if brutal) opinions welcome.

I don't know why you have disabled 'Modifiactions' as I wanted to download the pic to see if it was sharp enough, as, at first glance, it certainly doesn't seem to be. It is a nice clean image but for me there is far too much advertising text applied, as what I want to see and to comment on is a photograph, not advertising!

Others know far more than I do about portraiture and I am sure you will hear from them, but for me I would wish to see the model further away from the background, or a larger aperture used to throw it out of focus. The model certainly seems to be very relaxed with you which is excellent. The pose is not akward at all so I presume you got lots of good shots. Without the text and with a crop applied I feel you have a vey good shot.

I look forward to the comments of otehrs.

Nice image without the advertising. I thought this pic was in critique gallery hence the coments above which I attempted to remove, but without success.

Hi Focus_Man,

Thanks for your comment. I chose not to accept modifications as I am not yet comfortable about people taking copies of the picture, and possibly palming it off as their own. The text can easily be removed, and on reflection I should have uploaded a cleaner picture.

With Studio photography, you are constrained with what is available.... Space, Lighting, etc. If this was a location shoot, maybe I would agree with you about moving the model away from the wall, but no such luxary here.

Focus_Man, I prefer honest and brutal critique regardless of whether it's in the Critique Gallery or not. So no need to try and remove your post. Smile

Right.

Having seen your versatile portfolio, (some strong pictures there) I have come back to your most recent pic.

Two not very important but worth taking after things.

Background: If it can be ironed, someone's got a hell of a job.
Colour: I think I would had shot it with black background.
Did you choose white to compliment the underwear? to imply anything about her nonsense? Were you asked to use white?

Pose, model, lighting are fine.

Hi Pablo,

Thanks for your feedback. I was not in control of the background, but I did shoot with the model on 2 backgrounds, one of which was the black, and this was the other.

The shoot was part of a group shoot, so I wasn't in control of the set and clothing.

Thanks for your feedback, it is appreciated.
